On Friday 13 May 2022 Wellington Village Shopping Centre was the destination to be! The Today Show was there to host the weather crosses live at our shopping centre. The opportunity arose after Nicole Seymour put us forward when approached by the social platform Nextdoor – who sponsored the weather crosses as part of a cross country roadshow to celebrate community. Nicole recognised our centre as being the heart of the Rowville community, and we set out in 6 days to bring our known local community groups, schools, and charities together, and we had the opportunity to meet new community superstars as well. Rowville Victoria is the biggest Nextdoor neighbourhood in the country and the morning was about sharing their stories of kindness.
